Wordsworth and Romantic Landscapes

Remember how the different Romantic poets had different preferences for topic? Well, the next few entries are to share some examples of these. Let's start with Wordsworth and his daffodils.

I wandered lonely as a cloud
I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils,
Beside the lake, beneath the trees
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced, but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee: -
A poet could not but be gay
In such a jocund company:
I gazed -and gazed -but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought.
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills
And dances with the daffodils.

in romantic age emotions and nature were inspired the poets.we can see this in this poem. also I spent a good time in the lesson, especially listening the music. we could see the difference between the restoration period and the romantic age.

Poem,a man only writes
When something fully blocks his sight
And when he sees it day and night
Wordsworth is in love with the nature
And tries to explain his love
Inviting us to join his adventure
It is WORTH to say more WORDS for his poem
Then I would have to write poem for each single item:)))

The poem affected me more than Coleridge's 'Kubla Khan'. I feel myself as if I was there and experienced the writer's feelings. Maybe my reflections rely on my earlier life. I read the poem in highschool,so it is easy for me to understand it. Also a friend of mine,Enes was singing it as if it was a hymn. Enes is a very comic person. Due to these reasons when I faced with the poem again I was very cheerful. I love this poem very much.

Wordsworth had brought the Romantic revolution to England. Through his poems he had also
generated a new attitude towards nature. Nature was no longer something "out there" that had
to be mastered and conquered, rather nature was a part of ourselves, there was no difference
between human nature and physical nature.

Since Wordsworth was a romantic poet who focussed on the environment, it is always evident in most of his poems of the open sense of description about his passion and emotions towards nature "sensations sweet, Felt in the blood, and felt along the heart, And passing even into my purer mind.

Wordsworth uses the motifs of the Romentic Period in his works. He uses the description of the nature and see the beautiful side of the world and reflects this good feelings in his works. Also he succeeds in seeing the nature and his around in a successful way.

William Wordsworth is one of the Romantic period writers and like all Romantic period writers he is also inspired by the geography; that is nature. The English Lake District gave the most impression to the poet.( but really it is wonderful ,I mean the writer is right to be inspired by here:)) Wordsworth mentioned flowers, trees, seasons, lakes, sun in his poems. I think it is an interesting type of poem because everybody has information about the nature so it is easy to understand, not so complicated. From children, to grandparents everybody can easily read the poems and I believe that they will have fun. If I were asked which one I prefer, romantic age poems or restoration age poems, I would definitely prefer the romantic age poems because the themes are very entertaining and they all appeal to me...

He quated that spontaneous overflow of thougt the writing for nature. His sense of nature is not compare with anything. He absolutely broke down the restrained, diciplined nature of Restoration Period.

We, today, need people like Wordsworth who likes the nature. If he had been here and seen how people treat the nature, I’m sure he would be the most ambitious defender of the nature against the nature destroyers.
